In previous versions of Deadline the Search field allowed you to type in multiple query parts. This seems to be gone in D6 which only give you the ability to use one search value.
For instance, if you were searching for a job that contained MACHU and was submitted by andrew.h and was in the maya64GB group I could type into the search field “mac andrew maya” and it would filter accordingly.
Now I can only put in one of those values.
Is this a feature that’s coming back? It’s terribly useful and we miss it
you know that you can create custom search sets so that you can have a window that is all of andrew.h’s jobs and a clone that is andrew.hs’ jobs that you add the maya64gb and then a clone of that which continues those filters and is based on the last hour etc…?
Hey Chris. Yup, I do know that. It’s just much faster to quickly type in different search criteria than to create custom Filter sets. Especially for render wranglers who are constantly searching for different things very fast and spontaneously.
Would the job quick filters help here? The toggle button is the one in the job list that looks like a filter. You can quickly filter on user, pool, group, status, and plugin. One issue with the old way of searching in v5 was that you couldn’t properly search for strings with spaces in them.
