Let’s say I am working on animations for two projects… ProjectA and ProjectB. ProjectA is on hold for the moment, but I want to keep all the ProjectA render jobs in the Monitor in order to requeue them later. So ideally for now, I would like to not see them in the Monitor or have them all marked with a different color or have a space between the ProjectA jobs and the ProjectB jobs. Something to make it visually easier to ignore the jobs that I’m not working on at the moment… yet keep them available for later.
Are there any functions that would allow something like this?
Mike, I’m not an authority, but if I were you I would group select the jobs, modify properties and put the project name in ‘extra info 0’. Then you can use a filter to remove those jobs from the monitor.
I was able to add the project name to all the selected jobs by using Extra Info… but I’m not sure how to filter those jobs out. The only filtering I see are for plugins, pools, job group, etc. Where do I filter out using the Extra Info?
There currently isn’t an option to filter on the Extra Info fields in Deadline 5. However, in Deadline 6, you’ll be able to filter on any column in the Monitor.
