Is it possible to add a submission option to a Nuke submission script to add that job to the users’ Deadline Job Monitor?

This isn’t possible, and we’re actually discontinuing the Job Monitor in version 6 so we won’t be doing any more development for it. The improvements we’ve made in v6 actually make the job monitor redundant. 
The beta for v6 should start in September!

Our comp guys quite like having a low-overhead program they can have floating to see the progress of the renders. Will Deadline 6 be less over an overhead than Deadline 5?
Deadline 6 will have much less overhead than Deadline 5. It uses a database backend, and only pulls over NEW information, instead of pulling over all the data on a refresh.
In addition, the redesigned UI and filtering system allows you to create a job-only layout that only shows your jobs. The layout can be saved to disk and loaded in later, making it easy to switch from the current layout to the job-monitor-type layout. The new UI is auto-updating, like the job monitor was. No more pressing the refresh button!
We received a ton of positive feedback when we showed of D6 for the first time at Siggraph, and we will be working very hard to get this beta out in September!
