Access Repo/DB/RCS over public internet

Hello, This may be basic IT knowledge that I’m missing, but could someone help me understand how to get access to the Deadline repo from another network via public internet? I am using the TLS connection to the RCS with a passphrase and can connect while both machines are on the same network. I’d like to avoid the VPN connection, but the documentation doesn’t provide any details on how to achieve this. Thanks!
