Currently we have a python module that uses string manipulation to generate the plugin and submit info files to submit via commandline.
Was wondering whether there are other entries to submit job to Deadline? Any more direct python route?

I apologize for not being a coder, but I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do. Most job submission is done via the deadlinecommand application, which then routes the job to the repository. Were you trying to submit outside of this process? its basically because I made a python module that seems quite a bit slower than the default submission scripts.
