I wanted to share with you the Houdini renderfarm submitter that I recently released, called submitToDeadline.
(I hope it is allright to post this in this section, if not just let me know and will delete the post)
SubmitToDeadline is a self contained python houdini digital asset, it is quite powerful and handles all sort of dependencies automatically. It basically has similar features and functionalities of proprietary solutions seen at big vfx studios.
I’ve been creating Deadline submitters for Maya and Houdini at a couple of vfx studios in recent years (starting with Deadline5), I’ve also actively been in touch with support in the past to promote certain features to make Deadline friendlier for Houdini users submitToDeadline is a personal project of mine and the result of this experience coupled with 15 years of vfx experience.
It currently supports Deadline6+ and Houdini12+ and will ensure Deadline7 compatibility as soon as Deadline7 comes out.
