That fixes it.
I did an uninstall of Deadline, Reinstalled. (old VS version only)> Installed the attached file, which added another VS2005 installation) and that worked.
So it looks like it needs that 8.0.61xxx

But that’s the one that supposedly is bundled with beta 1? Why does it only work if I manually install it and not through the installer?
Oh, sorry, missed that you had to install it manually. Honestly, I’m not sure why that’s the case. The test we did here worked by just using the installer…
We only tested with the beta 1 client installer, but I’m assuming that’s the one you’re using too?
Oh actually looks like it was an alpha installer.
Luckily 2 slaves errored with my:
“\nas\nas\offline!Downloads and Installers\Deadline\vcredist_80SP1_x64.exe” /Q
command. So I’ll try it on them.
Ah, okay, that makes sense then. The vc++ 2005 redist was actually updated in one of the alpha releases.
Beta 1 installs the necessary Runtimes.
