Temporary to Permanent License

Hello,

I’ve recently purchase a set of licenses (6) from Motion Media. They initially gave me a temp license with an expiration of April 3. They said they were waiting for you guys to generate the perm license (or I later found out release a hold on the license). The perm license they emailed me was identical to the temp license, with the same expiry date in the license. They linked me to the docs on how to upgrade it to a permanent license, but either I’m missing something or the licenses are going to become invalidated in 15 days according to the Monitor. Is that just an expiration for the temp, and the perm license will kick in automatically after that happens?

Thanks for the note!

I asked the Sales team to take a look and we had the final license file valid until 2020 created and sent to Motion Media. It is possible that they sent you the old temp. file again by mistake.

You should receive a direct email from Sales with the final license, please check your inbox. Let us know here if you don’t see it.

You should follow the same steps to update the license server with the new license.
Note that Deadline licenses are not permanent anymore, but annual. However, they are also a lot cheaper than the old permanent licenses!
