I’m trying to setup Deadline again after long time without using it.
All PCs are recently formatted.
I don’t know what’s going on but can’t make it work and after following different solutions here, still doesn’t work.
I’ve attached the screenshot.
SSL are disabled.
All help is more than welcome.
Is your remote connection server running on that machine? If it’s been a while since you’ve run this setup, I’d bet that’s no longer running.
The PC is totally formatted, so all is brand new.
How can I know if the remote connection server is running?
I’m trying with remote and direct connection, but not success on both and getting different errors. See the attachments.
I’m very lost on how to proceed, any help is more than welcome.
To tell if the Remote Connection Server (RCS) is running, you can check the task manager of the server machine for a process called deadlinercs.exe. If the machine running the RCS can open a Monitor then we know that the RCS will also be able to hit the database.
However, you’re also unable to use a direct connection (so named for directly hitting the database versus going via the RCS). Take a look at this guide here on connection refused failures, and you should be pointed in the right direction.
