we had experienced huge Deadline failure. All Houdini jobs suddenly crashed for no reason. Later we discovered that reason for this was unintended creation of Thumbs.db file in our Houdini plugin folder. All clients started to report Failed to load the plugin because: Could not initialize the plugin sandbox (Deadline.Plugins.PluginException) and on the server log we saw
Files remoteip=192.168.44.208 exception=System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file '/upp/upptools/workgroups/deadline_repository/custom/plugins/Houdini_VFX/Thumbs.db' because it is being used by another process.
I would like to ask you if is possible on Deadline side ignore such system files during plugin copying as this is hard to disable on Windows for specific folders for all users?
