Hey guys,
i have just tested the “tile rendering” option with the submission script
fro maya. It seems to work okay but at the end after the assembling ht output looks wrong.
Half of the image is brighter / darker than the other side.
Am i missing something?
Maya 2012 X64
BTW,
why are the Tile Rendering and other features missing when i start the job from Deadline Monitor?
cheers
Another test,
thought it is because of the animation rendering.
But even if i render a simpe image, the other half is bright / darker.
(Using just 2 workstations for testing)
cheers

oh man, sorry guys, i meant “Tile Rendering” …
I think it’s because of my IBL Node inside Maya.
I’m using a hdri and then .HDR file is located on my workstation.
So do i have to copy that HDR file manually to the slave?
And which directory do i have to copy it?
Sorry for bothering but i thought that Deadline would recognize the only texture / HDR i’m using and
copy it automatically for the the slave.
cheers
Actually, Deadline doesn’t copy any assets for Maya scenes to the slaves. The recommended setup is to have all your assets (like this texture) on a network accessible location so that your workstation and your slaves can access the files directly.
If you just want to copy it locally to the slave for now, it would have to have the same path as it does on your workstation so that the slave can find it.
Cheers,
