I check the Tile Rendering tab and submit the job to Deadline, but it shows up as one job and is sent to only one slave. In the output folder there is only one file that seems that it’s being rendered by only one slave.

What version of Deadline are you using?
Which program are you rendering with? (We support Tile Rendering in Max, Maya and XSI).
If it is Max and if you are not using the latest SMTD 2.7 submitter, there used to be a bug in the initialization of the Tile Rendering in an earlier version of the script which required you to change the Drop-down list between Local submission and Master Job submission at least once before the feature would kick in. (You should keep it at Local submission in general).
If you are not using Max, then it is out of my area of expertise.
We are using the latest version of Deadline 2.7.29178, and Maya 2008. And we are just using Maya software render.
Hi Rob,
Just tested this here and it seems to be working fine. Have you
downloaded and applied the latest plugin patch which officially added
support for Maya 2008? If not you can download it from here:
http://www.franticfilms.com/software/products/deadline/download/
Installation instructions can be found here:
http://www.franticfilms.com/software/support/deadline/releasenotes_pluginpatch_2.7.29178.php
Also, under the Tile Rendering tab, make sure you have the “Enabled” box
checked. You may already be doing this, but I couldn’t tell from your
post, so I want to make sure I have all possibilities covered.
Cheers,
- Ryan

Yeah, I installed the plugin patches, but something must have flaked it out. I reinstalled the plugin patch and now everything works fine. Strange…since animations worked.
thanks
