Using Deadline 4.0 and trying to assemble a 5460x12600 pixel image from 1x4 tiles. I have tried both png and tif images. It takes over 15 min to load and assemble the image. I noticed that the tileassembler.exe is only using 25% cpu . Im on windows using maya submitter to submit the job. Each tile is only 48k in size but takes the assembler over 3 min to load it. Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated
The Tile Assembler isn’t multithread, and there is a lot of file IO involved, so the speed of the assembler could be affected by network load. Could you possibly zip up the PNG and TIFF tiles and post them here? We can try the assembly here and see if we can figure something out.
