Two QuicktimeSubmission.py files?

Not sure if this is a known thing but there are two completely different QuicktimeSubmission.py files.

\renderfarm\DeadlineRepository6\scripts\Submission\QuicktimeSubmission.py

\renderfarm\DeadlineRepository6\scripts\Jobs\QuicktimeSubmission.py

I know it doesn’t really cause any conflicts but it confused me for a few minutes while editing these files.

Hello James,

I think there are a couple such cases, but we do try to make sure files don’t exist with the same name. Thanks for pointing this one out to us.

Cheers,

Hi
I think they’re actually different. The one in the Jobs-folder is fired when you right-click a job in the job-list. It pre-populates the input- and output-fields based on your selection. The one in the submissions-folder is fired when you select Quicktimesubmission from the general submit-meny. Here you have to manually set your input and output.

Cheers

Yes, they are different and do live in different directories. I was just letting the Thinkbox guys know about it because there’s always the potential for problems when you have different files with the same name.

Hello,

I know they are aware, and while I am not sure there is anything that can be done for 6.1, I can let them know for a future build that they may want to change this. Thanks
