V-Ray support for Deadline in Houdini

The issue here is that the vrscene file is missing. Are you setting its path in the vray rop to an accessible location?

You’ve got the Mantra Export tab checked, try the ‘V-ray Export’ tab instead

When I used the V-Ray deadline node it automatically set the output for vrscene

An hour ago the .vrscene export path started to work, I changed the default path to $JOB and it works.

Hello now I render locally on several machines, but when I saw a task it creates 2 jobs and houdini does not interest me only v-ray as I could cancel the sending ? Every few times I send it without changing anything, this houdini task disappears and when I send another task, it appears again.

I have installed houdini 18.5.499 py3 and now the v-ray node works and only sends the file I need, thanks to a colleague who said it in this forum, there are 3 options and the one that works best is the render job mode.

“Works best” depends on the context. e.g. we always export and render on the farm, so there are two jobs submitted.

Why do you use the 2 jobs if they render the same thing but 2 times ? I didn’t understand it.

Sorry should have explained - one job exports the scene in vrscene format, and the second v-ray standalone job renders the vrscene. One advantage is licensing - vray standalone licenses might be cheaper than houdini engine licenses.
