Hi all, I’m using job info files to batch-submit renders to deadline, im testing out the vray DBR option, which works awesomely when i do submissions via the interface, but what are the ini-file parameters called for setting DBR and the maximum amount of slaves per job?
I searched around the forums and all I’ve found was a reference to VRayDBRJob = true, but i cant see that it does anything (might be that the default amount of slaves is set to 1)
And while we are at it: We got the manual job submiision docs over at http://docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/products/deadline/8.0/1_User%20Manual/manual/manual-submission.html?highlight=manual%20job, but they only cover the most generic parameters, is there anywhere you could find more docs on the parameters that are unique for the specific deadline plugins? That would be great
Hey Forsgren,
I dont have v8 of dealine, so i cant tell you exactly what the param is…
however If you modify the job properties on one of the jobs you have submitted via the deadline interface, you can see what the extra parameters are.
In the Job Properties > Submission Params , you will see all the parameters that are used for the job.
http://docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/products/deadline/7.2/1_User%20Manual/manual/job-controlling.html?highlight=submission%20params#submission-params
If you use the Export button at the top of this panel, it will save out the the jobinfo and plugin info to files you can use with the manual submission.
hope that helps.

Chiming in to +1 Kym’s answer! Most of the time that’s the simplest way to find the key=value pair for the setting you’re looking for.
Don’t forget that you can open up the submitter to see how they create the job files if you really can’t find the info.
Thanks for the tips guys, i never thought to look in the Submission Params, thanksT
It seems that the offload vray DR uses the frames attribute to deiced on how many machines can chip into the job, I would never had guessed it without looking into the params
