Vray DR Spawner & Deadline Slave not playing nicely

Hi,

Still in the testing phase of deadline, and I seem to have come a cropper at this one.

With Vray distributed rendering and deadline slave enabled on the server pc, both work perfectly. When the Dr spawner is turned off however, things turn nasty…

The slave will throw up lots of errors, basically saying access denied on assigning the process (3dsmax)

It’s like vray dr is locking down use of the 3dsmax process, even when its not running.

Is this a known prob, or is it just me? I thought it was something to do with permissions, but the user is an admin account.

You’re on windows 7 right? This is a tidbit one of our users sent us that might workaround the problem. They’re using XSI, but the problem sounds similar.
