Vray Raw Image

I am trying to render out exr’s via the Vray raw image format and am running into some issues. It would appear that Deadline doesn’t like it when Vray tries to render using the Vray frame buffer.



If I set the image output path using the ‘Render Output’ option in the Common tab it renders fine using Vray; but if I want to use the Vray frame buffer to render it doesn’t work…



Has anyone else come across this?

Hi Joel,



There have been issues reported when rendering with the VRay frame

buffer enabled. What sort of problems are you having? Can you post any

error message, or perhaps a simple test scene (a camera and some

geometry) that reproduces the problem?

Hey Ryan,



I’ll see if I can get you a file over the next couple days. It seems to be a really weird issue. I submit the scene to the farm and the scene loads, it begins to render a few buckets then just quits. At first I thought it might be a memory issue but watching the task manager shows only 1.4gigs being used. We’re getting new drives delivered from BOXX this week with XP64 so I’ll install them and see if maybe that is the issue. (would be nice to rule out one less possibility.)
