Windows 7 install issues.

Good day…just picked up a new machine and was hoping to give this program a shot, as I have heard great things about it.

However I come up against this error on install.

Error in action ExecuteAction: Error in action InstallUninstaller: error copying “C:/Users/*******/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_3FF232FF-99A5-437F-936A-7FD7EC23DB18/installkit.exe” to “C:/Program Files/Prime Focus/Deadline/uninstall.exe”: permission denied

It seems like a permissions issue but not sure why as I am logged in as admin. Is there some special Admin flag in windows 7?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A shot in the dark - did you try disabling UAC?

The installer shouldn’t be affected if UAC is enabled. When you initially launched the installer, did you get a popup stating that the installer requires admin privileges? If so, that means that the installer couldn’t confirm that you have admin privileges (we’re changing the wording in the next release to make this a little more clear). If you got this popup, try right-clicking on the installer and selecting the option to run as admin. Enter your credentials, and you should be good to go.

Good, after seeing that the post is 12 years old I open it with the same problem but in datacenter 2020, I have also tried other sitemas and jumps the error that can not unpack, I tried disabling the UAC but is not the solution.
