Can't connect by Remote Desktop

(I saw that there are other RDC problem threads, but those have different errors, so I thought I’d start a new one.)

When I try to connect by RDC to a slave computer through the Monitor on Deadline 3.0 I get the following error:

settingsFilename is not a rooted path
Parameter name: settingsFilename (System.Exception)

The relevant repository options are set up as follows:

Allow Remote Desktop Connections: True
RDC Executable Filename: C:\WINDOWS\system32\mstsc.exe
RDC Settings Storage Directory: [blank]

All the machines involved are 32bit: the render boxes and the machine I’m running the monitor from are running XP Pro and the repository is a Windows Server 2003 machine. If I open RDC manually then I can connect to the render boxes from my machine without a problem.

Any ideas how to fix this?

The RDC Settings Storage Directory needs to be a valid path (I believe the default is c:). You can set it to whatever path you want, as long as it exists on all the machines.

That worked. Thanks.
