Shotgun integration through the command line

Currently, the Shotgun integration is “opt-in”. The user has to click on the integration tab and connection to Shotgun and fill out all of the necessary parameters, etc. However, we are planning to submit a group of renders through the command line. Basically, someone will write a script to create a series of Deadline command line renders. Can the Shotgun integration be triggered from the command line as well?

Yup. Just list the Shotgun event as an opt-in in the Job Info properties:
docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produc … nt-opt-ins

So, you’d have this:

Plugin=Whatever
Frames=1-100
...
EventOptIns=Shotgun

Great! I’ll tell my team!

Hey Spearsc,

Due to the way the project management event plugins work we have actually removed the Opt-in option from them. This is due to the fact that by the very nature of these event plugins they are already opt in since they require many properties to be already set up for the job.

Because of this I would suggest changing shotgun to be Enabled instead of Opt-in
