I just updated (reinstalled) our deadline repository and clients to the latest version (2.5.22191). When I run the DeadlineConfiguration utility it does not show the repository or the slaves. It appears as though it cannot connect to the launcher(?). The slaves are running and the monitor looks correct. One interesting piece of info is that some machines do show up in the list and those are only older 2.0.xxx clients (not slaves). Could these be interfering? My repository and slave nodes do show up in the list - just greyed out.



Is this a problem? A bug? Is there a workaround?

Hi Scott,



In the Monitor, while in Super User mode, select Tools -> Configure Repository Options and then select the Remote Administration option from the list on the left, and ensure that it is enabled. If not, the Launcher won’t respond to remote commands, which includes sending information back to the Configuration tool.



This is a new feature in 2.5, which is why you still see the information from the machines running 2.0.
