Restrict user control

Is it possible to restrict users from being able to change the priority of jobs in deadline?

In our case we only want leads to have the ability to change the priority of all jobs on deadline.

You might want to start here:

docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produ … user-group

To answer your question in more detail, you could

  • Go in Super-User Mode
  • Open the Manage User Groups option
  • Modify the Everyone group > Job Properties tab > Job Priority entry from “Inherited” to “Disabled”
  • Create a new User Group called “Administrators” and change it to have the Job Property entry set to “Enabled”
  • Add the users who may change priorities to the “Administrators” group.

This way any user that is not explicitly added to the Administrators group will have the changing of Job Priority disabled.

Obviously, you should set a password for the Super User mode to prevent people from modifying the advanced settings…

Awesome!
Thanks bobo.

Where do I create a password for superuser mode at?
