Corona 1.7

Hi all,

We are having some issues with Corona 1.7 and Deadline 10

Some during and after parsing the scene;

2017-10-27 09:06:11: 0: INFO: Parsing scene (elapsed: 0:02:09, left: 0:03:06) 2017-10-27 09:07:02: 0: Process is terminated due to StackOverflowException. 2017-10-27 09:08:51: 0: WARNING: Monitored managed process 3dsmaxProcess is no longer running 2017-10-27 09:08:51: 0: Done executing plugin command of type 'Render Task'

2017-10-27 13:03:45: 0: INFO: Parsing scene (elapsed: 0:01:59, left: 0:00:12) 2017-10-27 13:05:35: 0: Timed out waiting for output from the Sandbox, stopping the Sandbox thread.

And others after computing GI

2017/10/27 07:19:32 INF: [16856] [22744] CORONA : Computing sec. GI 2017/10/27 07:19:33 ERR: [16856] [14624] An unexpected exception has occurred in the network renderer and it is terminating.

This is all the same project, so I am unsure if it is the project or the recent Corona 1.7 update.

Any ideas?

Best,

J.

This comes up when rendering.

That pop-up seems to be when C# runs out of memory, or when there’s a bad loop. That “StackOverflowException” is pointing to the bad loop, and I don’t know if we’re having problems in our .net or Max’s. Considering Windows chose to kill Max and not the Sandbox I’m hopefully optimistic it’s not us. :slight_smile:

The easy check is to see the memory usage when that error pops up. For testing Max itself, just load the scene manually on that machine and try to render it. Assuming the error happens reliably you should see it.

Hi Edwin,

We are able to render locally. We have done quite a lot of optomisation and things are working better now so I suspect that you are right about memory. I will post again if anything else comes up.

Thanks for your response.

Josh.
