Deleting jobs in monitor don´t delete the Job folder in REPO

Hey guys,

So, i had a little incident yesterday where our repo share suddenly went full. We have been using the selection in Monitor to Clean up jobs after 15 days by deleting them. And we have been thinking it has been working. But something have gone wrong here.

To fast fix the issue with space, i started to select old, completed jobs from the monitor list, and right clicked, choose Delete. The jobs disappears from the list, but the job folder did not get deleted in the repo. So no disc space was released.

So i manually deleted folder in the Job folder instead. Works of course, but not the way i would like to have it…

We are using Deadline 10.0.8.4

Am i missing something?

Deadline puts jobs in a secret collection for two hours before cleaning them up:

docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produ … te#cleanup

It’s not an overly well documented feature. You can view the UI for it in the “Tools” menu. Look for “Undelete jobs” near the bottom.

Perfect! Thank you! I will look in to that one.

Welcome! This is one of those fun gotchas people don’t expect.
