Is it possible to override the output path of where the frames for a job will be saved with a custom event?

In out situation we need to change the output paths for maya jobs on the farm and it would be much easier to just blank fix them all by using a custom event on deadline? I wanted to ask if this would be possible before diving into this.

Short answer: Yes with caveats.

So, it’s possible to modify the location for the plugin (it’s driven by the PluginInfo file) but the Monitor’s path cannot be changed that way.

One idea that’s a bit odd is that you can cancel the original submission and create a new job based on the old one. I think this will cause users some stress as the dialog for submitting the job will show an error but their job will be created…
