Thanks

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

Hi Sylvain,

Deadline has not been tested with version 2.0 of the .NET Framework. It

is very possible that updating the version could affect Deadline, though

if and how it would affect Deadline is unknown.

We can add testing Deadline with 2.0 to our TODO list. If you do decide

to upgrade, please let us know if you run into any problems.

How the .NET Framework works (at least to my understanding and how I've seen it in action) is that when an application is compiled against a specific version of the framework, it will always look for that version of the framework.

Thus, Deadline will continue to work, as long as you have .NET 1.1 installed. Installing 2.0 will not replace the previous versions of the Framework. The downside to this is that you would have to have 2 frameworks installed until Deadline is compiled against the 2.0 framework.

Thanks for this info.

I think I will wait until it is absolutly necessary to update the framework.
