Greetings,
I do a lot of high res still image renders. My current setup is 18 Rendernodes plus my two workstations. I use backburner to que up several still images and render them out as machines become free. This has worked well for scanline and less detailed renderings. Now we almost exclusively use VRay distributed rendering. The problem with this is that I now have to babysit renders since there is no way to cue up a bunch of renders to let them render overnight or over a weekend.
So…to make a short story longer, can I use Deadline to submit a VRay distributed render using all of my render machines? Then when the first image completes, the next file will be rendered…etc…?
Thanks for any help or feedback!
Best Regards,
Troy
Hi Troy,
Unfortunately, Deadline does not yet support distributed rendering of
single images. We are currently working on putting the pieces in place
to support distributed rendering in the future.
