Post Job Action

Hello. Is there any way to automaticly reboot a slave machine after finishing job (not task) ? i Know that there is a option where you can browse to your vbs script. Rebooting slave after finished task is in my opinion wasting of time… instead of that, slave reboot after whole job may be very usefull. did somebody wrote script/option doing that ?

Hi Paul,

You could probably write a post job script, however one issue is that the script is only executed on the slave that finishes the last task for the job. So if the job was split across 10 machines, only one of the machines would restart itself.

A better solution might be to use the Slave Reboot feature of Power Management. You can configure it to restart your slaves at certain intervals, and the system is smart in a way where it will only restart a slave between tasks, so you don't have to worry about lost render time.

Hope this helps!
