Multi-slave render Problem

Ok I am trying to set this trial version up to render only one frame between 2 machines and put that rendered file on one of them (ie. destination folder). Everytime I do a render only one slave is rendering and the other is in idle. Can anyone help me out?

thanks

Hi Mike,

This could be related to your other problem. Did you previously have an

older version of Deadline installed before you started testing with the

latest Deadline 2.7 version? This particular error would occur in the

past because the way in which pools were saved was modified slightly.

There are two options that should work to resolve this problem:

  1. Go to \your\repository\settings, delete the pools.ini and

    obsoletePools.ini files, then re-install the repository.

  2. Open pools.ini, and you should see that each pool is assigned a code,

    similar to this:

    PoolName1=a

    PoolName2=b

    Simply add to zeros “00” at the beginning of each code, so they look

    similar to this:

    PoolName1=00a

    PoolName2=00b

    Then save the file.

    Hopefully this should clear up both of your problems.

    Cheers,
