I am trying to figure out how to get Deadline to recognize my cache operator when submitting through the gui in Max.



When I submit a job through Deadline outside of max it recognizes the cache file, but then it doesn’t let me preview images while rendering.



Can anyone help explain to me how I can get Deadline to recognize my cache file when submitting through the max gui?

We need some more info here, although I have a suspicion :o)



First of all, there are several cache systems available for PFlow (via Box #3). Are you using the built-in Cache Operator to store the data with the Max file?



If you are doing so, keep in mind that the Submit Max To Deadline (SMTD) script uses the HOLD command to create the file that is being sent, so the “Save Cache With Hold” checkbox MUST be checked for the data to travel to Deadline.



If this is not your problem, please provide step-by-step description of what you are doing, with the exact names of operators and options you are clicking.
