Material ID/Smoothing Group not caching.

I’m using TP 6 and exporting out with no problems, but when I try to do selections by face ID, normals, or anything inbetween, it doesn’t carry it over. The material library it creates does work, but I can’t seem to do anything else, such as with genome. It’s like it flattens it down to only a single ID. I’m wondering if it’s a TP problem…

Never mind, I am oblivious and realized that the channels to save out are on the left by default - like Krakatoa. So I was basically just saving a bunch of mapping channels.

Thank you for letting us know! I’m glad to hear that you found a solution.

I am pretty sure we have all channels on the right by default, but I could be wrong.
The channels are only saved if they exist, so we put all 100 mapping channels on the right, but save what we find. MaterialIDs, SmoothingGroups etc. should all be on the right after a fresh install. We keep the Normals on the left because they are redundant and only needed for explicit export (and our Maya Loader supports SmoothingGroups from Max to Maya Edge Smoothing anyway).
