Color management with anaglyphs

Postby Chad » Fri Feb 20, 2009 2:22 pm

When using StereoImageUnstack, what's the workflow supposed to be if the red/cyan isn't calibrated to your monitor?

Basically, I think my glasses aren't matching my monitor correctly, but a LUT applied to viewer changes both the red/cyan anaglyph part AND the actual image content.

Is there a way to fine tune the red/cyan setup, or is there a suggested way to calibrate this?

I'm not sure what the best solution is to this. Have you tried applying your color correction before the unstack?

Removing the color can reduce the amount of bleeding between the glass as well.

No one has mentioned this to me before, but I will ask around and see if anyone has a solution to this problem.

Because the input color affect the output, I don't know exactly what I should do. It's a mystery.

For previewing the depth only, yes I've resorted to unstacking just the luminance. Help a lot.

Had a little fun doing the opposite, using anaglyphs to help me analyze color.
