Went with 10.3, things work now.
On the side note, DL is very sensitive to MentalRay old bits in the scenes ( i know they should do that, but somehow they get dragged over to the new files from back when it it was still a thing).
Would really make sense to probe for them in the Sanity Check as they stop any job dead in it’s tracks with no discernable error.
