Do I need to manually backup all my Build17 settings or should the official release just upgrade transparently like all the beta builds?
Just upgrade like you did before with the 3.0 beta builds.

How about licensing?
Will it start using the old 2.7 license or do we need to be issued a new 3.0 license that isn’t “Month-to-Month” like the beta?
A new 3.0 license is required to run Deadline 3.0, and as long as your support and upgrade contract is up to date, this new license will be free of charge. Please contact our sales department - deadline-sales (at) franticfilms (dot) com - about upgrading your current license.
