I had the issue with SiNi pop up stopping renders so I updated to 10.1.14.5 as the release notes included a fix for this…
3ds Max
- Added a popup ignorer for “SiNi Software” dialogs that can occasionally block network rendering.
The scene is a simple teapot submission, the job starts but doesn’t get any further than this

Scene will just sit on the slave, not sure if there is a workaround for this? I saw there was a mod on another thread here
But I’m not getting the next line warning of untitled pop up box, it just sits there.
EDIT: Restart and different profile seems to be rendering now, will test further
