When I use the option in vray “do not render final image” deadline does write out the renderpasses (to render Gi pass)
Not 100% sure if it’s a deadline or max thing, but if the later perhaps good if deadline still doesn’t write the files.
And the Sanity check is set to automatic when submitting.
But when it find that that the “do not render final image” setting is used it does give a warning, but submits the scene directly anyway.
Is this supposed to happen?
This appears to be a vray/max thing, since the render passes are still written out when I do a local render. I don’t think we want to change this behavior in Deadline though, because it’s probably better to keep things consistent.
This is by design. We’re currently treating this as a warning instead of a critical problem.
Ok, I understand that thought, but…
On the other hand it’s completely useless as those Render elements will always just be black frames (and can be easily forgotten to have turned off and overwrite other stuff).
I know, it’s the user’s task to be aware of this and keep it in mind, but they will never have any function, and therefor would be great if we don’t need to think about it at all…
(just lazy-me talking here…)
