Have anyone already tested deadline6 on 3dsMax2014?
i´m missing 2 files only avalibles for 2012 and 2013 at the plugins folder:
lightning64Max2014.dlx
lightningMax2014.dlx
Yep, latest beta v17 is missing these 2 files, which will stop Max rendering from working.
(I wouldn’t go anywhere near Max2014 for production until at least the first SP comes out…)
Hey guys,
We’re seeing this here too. The pre-installer build process is putting the file in the right place, but for some reason the installer didn’t include it. We’ll look into it.
Note that we’ll only be shipping the 64 bit dlx file for Max 2014, since it doesn’t support 32 bit systems anymore.

We figured out the problem. The next beta will ship with the lightning dlx file for max 2014.
Thanks for reporting this!
Ah, I forgot about it only being x64bit. About time!
This brings me onto another question. Should the 3dsmax.py plugin code be updated to force any Max2014 jobs to use the x64bit version or just let the dlinit file take care of it by only including a x64bit file path to the 3dsmax.exe?
