Thank you!! it is working flawlesly so far
New version of Deadline is out supporting the latest 3ds max
Installed the latest Deadline Version.
3dsMax 2023 works fine with Arnold, Corona, Vray.
3dsMax 2024 doesnt work with any render engine:
“Error: 3dsmax startup: Error getting connection from 3dsmax: Monitored managed process “3dsmaxProcess” has exited or been terminated.”
Hello @MarkusB
Can you share the full stack trace for this error?
Also, if the Deadline client version and repo version are not the same the plugin will fail to initialize. Here’s more details on it: https://awsthinkbox.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/16540755200279-Deadline-10-3-0-9-Custom-Plugins-based-of-Python-version-less-than-3-10-will-break
Hello @zainali
Like I said, deadline works fine with 3dsmax2023 on this client, but when I use 3dsmax2024, it fails to start.
Deadline Client Version: 10.3.0.9 Release (fd97c242e)
FranticX Client Version: 2.4.0.0 Release (708beba6f)
License Mode:
Repository Version: 10.3.0.9 (fd97c242e)
Integration Version: 10.3.0.9 (fd97c242e)
3PL Settings Version: 03/08/2023
I doubt this is a version issue, as it works with 2023.
Here is the link to Error LOG:
Hello
I looked at the job report, it is not obvious why Max has exited from the job report. Except for this line:
2023/08/10 16:36:38 ERR: [47632] [44388] Der Netzwerk-Renderer wird aufgrund einer unerwarteten Ausnahme beendet.

Hi,
good news, it is working again.
I did a test with Pulze Render Manager and had the same issue, so I thought, it cant be Deadline.
After reinstalling MAX and adding plugin by plugin, I nailed it down to Tyflow v. 1.024. Checking there forum, this seems to be a known issue. After installing the previous version 1.023, everything works fine.
most of the time you log issue seem to point to an licence error check for a pluggin (if it fail when it load scene, but scene load fine in GUI mode, this is a licence issue for a pluggin…)
Hi, I have Deadline-10.3.0.9 installed. When submitting a job via monitor it still doesn’t have an option for 3ds max 2024, it does say 2024 is supported however?
Did you upgrade the repository as well as the client? If not that’ll be why.
And if you did, check if you’ve got a 3dsmax submission script in your DeadlineRepository10\custom\scripts\Submission folder. If there’s an older one there it’ll be overriding the updated one that ships with 10.3.
FYI another bug seems to be that it fails with missing textures even if you have “ignore missing files” checked.
Hi guys, anyone know why the summiter of DR corona isnt updated yet?
It stopped at max 2022.
