We have one workstation, used as rendernode when not being worked on failing every job we submit.
The one thing I have narrowed it down to is that it works only if I submit using “Force workstation mode”.
The error logs doesn’t really tell me much, I can’t see anything obvious. What could be the problem causing this? Ive tried with 2 different max versions (2022 and 2023) and both vray and scanline.
Workstation Mode setting will be launch 3ds Max in full Interactive mode and will require a license. Are the render nodes on a local onprem machine or AWS?
I would like to see the failure point in the rendering process when the job is submitted without “Force workstation mode”, could you be able to share the render log from the job with the error. You can also open a ticket with Thinkbox Support Team and attach logs to it for investigation.
