3dsmax startup: Error getting connection from 3dsmax: Dialog popup detected: Title "", Message ""

Hi there,

We get this error message randomly on Jobs and would like to understand what it is. The log is attached.

It happens I would say once every 100 frames and happens on all render nodes. the frame picks back up and renders fine afterwards so we have not been too worried about it but it would be ideal if we can avoid it from happening.

Thanks for reaching out. I looked at the job report. It seems like 3dsMax is timing out waiting for connection because there was popup with title “Message”

Error: FailRenderException : 3dsmax startup: Error getting connection from 3dsmax: Dialog popup detected: Title "", Message ""

I think this popup comes with a crash or something which went wrong during rendering and Autodesk needs to collect information about it. This is a guess based on below message from the job report.

^^ You can try setting the Data Collection feature OFF from Max and see if it improves?
