Hi there,
i got a very curious problem. When i start to render some frames - maybe 40 or something like this - only 4 of my 5 slaves starts to render.
But i dunno why… The 5th machine idles around and doesn’t start to work.
Any clue why?
Cheers,
Sebastian
Can you check the following on the job and the 5th machine slave:
- Is the 5th machine not assigned to the pool which the job is in?
- Is the 5th machine not assigned to the group which the job is in?
- Any white/black listing of the 5th machine so it doesn’t run on this machine?
- Does the job have any Limit groups applied to it, which effectively remove the 5th machine from every picking it up?
- Does the job have any chunk size allocation and hence only gets picked by 4 machines due to chunking of 10?, ie: each of the 4 machines each get allocated 10 frames and hence nothing left for the 5th machine!
- Try restarting the 5th slave / actual machine?
A couple other things to check:
7) Does the job have a machine limit of 4?
8) Perhaps the 5th machine is generating errors, and then removes itself from rendering. You can check if there are errors by looking at the Errors column in the job list, and you can view the errors if there are any by right-clicking on the job and selecting Job Reports -> View Error Reports.
