It appears that the addition of delayed scene loading has not been properly implemented. Maya script jobs dont ever load the predefined maya files now.
In def RenderTasks( self ):, only the ‘non’ script job branch got the delayed scene loading mechanism, the script job branch did not.

We actually just fixed this, the delay load code had missed the case for script jobs. Attached is a new version of the Maya batch plugin that will fix this for you. It will also be included in the next beta build (RC4).
