About Deadline with NLM License

Hello i’m new bie of this forums today have a little problem about deadline with NLM License.

First Autodesk sell license Maya in NLM (Network License Manager)

The Description in Autodesk Website about NLM is “The products can be installed on as many computers as desired. At any one time, can only run on the maximum number of computers for which licenses have been purchased”

I dout about This Meaning in case “Open application run At 1 time”, But when Deadline will check license each Node. It maybe doesn’t count 1 seat in NLM License, isn’t it?

Because Deadline use engine only, Not run Maya Application. Or not? for this case If i have 3 Seat in 1 NLM, i can use for Every Node. right

Or when Deadline check license in node it will be count to seat in NLM.

I’m not 100% sure on this, but Deadline shouldn’t be starting Maya in a licensed mode as I believe it uses the command line exe for rendering. If you’re using Maya Software rendering, you don’t have to have a render license to do the rendering on multiple machines. If you’re using Mental Ray in Maya, you can render on up to 5 additional machines per license. So if you have 3 network licenses, you can render with 3 workstations and 15 additional render nodes for a total of 18 machines. Other 3rd party renderers may be different so check their docs or forums for answers.

Thank for you information.

I try use 3ds max before it doesn’t necessary to activate or enter CD-KEY

but Maya must enter cd-key for Deadline Rendering, It not be same =w=
