Hi all,
Really love Krakatoa for making amazing art. I am working on a new render but no matter what, I keep getting a very strange flicker.
If I turn absorption off, it goes away, but so do my amazing colors! I have tried just about everything in mind, but has been unable to fix it.
Here’s a GIF of my animation in action so that you may see the flicker: gfycat.com/BlindUnawareCrocodileskink
I can provide the stills if that would help too.
The way this scene is set up may be part of the issue… It’s using two PRT loaders which load Realflow data, and then a Stoke instance that adds some additional detail, and has some other velocity influences. There’s around 30 million particles.
All three systems are being re-timed, and have the sub-frame interpolation set to on. Perhaps this is the issue?
Also for reference, this is being rendered at 2560x1440px, 30FPS, on a 6-core (12 thread) machine with 32gb of ram.
So far I have tried these things, and they do not fix the problem:
Setting the memory allocation to float 32 for absorption, velocity, color, and lighting.
Redoing the entire Realflow simulation with more particles.
Tweaking the coloring
Adding/removing lights
Adding the velocity mamgaflow mentioned below
Nothing has fixed it yet Any advice?
