Add label to rendered frame

I have never used draft before but I am hoping to do the following when a still render ends.

1. Read in an ASCII file for a text string, or provide it in some other way
2. Draw a 50% opacity grey box at the bottom of a render frame
3. Add a text label to the frame showing the text read in from the external file in a specific font and style etc
4. Save over original image in the format it is already in

I am doing this as a way of labelling our test renders. Usually I do this sort of thing using Photoshop scripting but I thought it would be a good opportunity to finally try out draft!

Is all of this possible? I am going through the docs now but I thought it might be worth asking in case anyone has done this before.

Nevermind, all the answers were in the 'Watermark_Demo_Template.py, I thought it would be way more work than it is!

Now all I need to do is integrate it into our pipeline.
