So the two errors you are getting there are pretty clear cut. It looks like the one AE path, “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files”, is missing the actual pointer to a file, only a folder, which is needed in Deadline. Can you fix that and try again? I also note that it is showing in the error as After Effects 6, not After Effects CS6, which is where it should be looking. I should note that CS6 is actually version 11 of After Effects.
As for fusion, you have verified that Fusion is installed and the executable can be foune in either “C:\Program Files\eyeon\Render Slave 6.0\RenderSlave.exe” or “C:\Program Files (x86)\eyeon\Render Slave 6.0\RenderSlave.exe” correct? I note that one has a space in the file name, and one doesn’t. Can you verify which one is right?
As for the stalled slave, I am hopeful once we get the executables right, it should clear up. Let me know.
Anyway I have tried recheck the paths in plugins configuration in fusion still the same. I’m wondering are my versions compatible with each other?
for the after effects so far as plug in configuration has is only upto CS5. Does that mean CS6 and CC are not compatible with my deadline version? i was hoping there is a work around to this.
As for After Effects, the plugin pack we released for 5.2, which brought it up to version 49424, should have brought in support up to AE CS6. As for the CC versions, unfortunately as Deadline 5 was released long before the last release of Deadline 5, and that version of Deadline is no longer being updated, you would need to upgrade to the 6.x family or even Deadline 7 which should release soon. You should definitely still have support for CS6 in Deadline 5.2, though.
My advice would be to upgrade to Deadline 6, or even just wait a few weeks and upgrade to the upcoming Deadline 7, or you could reinstall the repo and install the plugin pack, which should get you the support for CS6.
The correct path to all the render nodes would be:
C:\Program Files\eyeon\Render Slave 6.4\RenderSlave.exe - since im running a 64bit machine with render slave version of 6.4
I don’t really mind about cc since its currently not the main software I use. I still use CS6, although I think I’d love to have that deadline 7 too. Since you mentioned I can make cs6 work by installing a plugin pack. maybe I can give it a try
Ahh so the path in the plugin config is not correct, as it was pointing to 6.0 not 6.4. If you correct that your fusion jobs should work without that particular issue being a problem.
As for AE, if you go ahead and install thinkboxsoftware.com/deadlin … _49424.zip you should then be able to run CS6 jobs without a problem. Let us know if you have any other issues.
I think it would be beneficial to have a Team Viewer remote session so I can get a hands on look here and see if there is anything we can do. Can you send an email to support@thinkboxsoftware.com and advise what time and day would be best? Thanks.
