Hi,
Can you confirm your exact operating system? Windows? and exact version of After Effects, down to the point release?
AfterEffects.py.zip (7.52 KB)
You should be able to fix this yourself. See attached updated AfterEffects.py script. Unzip and copy over to:
“<your_repo>/plugins/AfterEffects/AfterEffects.py”
However, I’d really like to know the answers to my questions above…as I think Windows AE behaves differently to Mac here…and it depends on what exact version of AE CC you are running…
Hi, thanks for the reply,
The computers i’m rendering on are on W10 1607 and After Effect 13.8.
Thanks for the info. Did the updated py script fix the issue for you? Please do let us know.
Thanks i’ve less error now with your new script. What’s that IPC broker thing ?
To continue i’ve this error sometimes now

IPCBroker = Inter Process Communication Broker process. Known to cause AE to hang, but also it would seem, cause other issues if killed during concurrent task processing.
Try attached for another updated AfterEffects.py plugin file to try and improve the first of your errors. Make sure you give it plenty of tests to see if it makes much of a difference for you.
AfterEffects.py.zip (7.51 KB)
This error is coming from aerender:
I suspect if you copy and paste the string from the Deadline log report that starts with: “Full Command: …” and execute this string in a command prompt on the same machine that had this error before, it will error out with the same error. ie: if it does, then you know it’s an AE error, as you have removed Deadline from the equation here.
I have plenty of renders to do today, I’m sure I can test that
I think this will work better disabling checks because actually sometimes I’m also using the classic commandline rendering and all is working great (i’m using that for the “skip rendered frame”.
You’re right for the second error, please excuse me if I haven’t reported you back the previous time… About that, to clear up things, you said me to test the “submit project file with job” and that’s doesn’t help at all
