I was going to report an AE Submission bug, but I see someone else already has done it & a new .jsx was posted.
Another issue I’ve had ever since installing the latest build is, After Effects refuses to load in interactive mode. It always loads a render-only node.
I’ve looked in my documents folder and there is no render only text file. Does Deadline do anything else to force machines to run in render-only mode?
It’s a really weird problem, but the only thing that’s changed on my setup is Deadline, so I have to start there.
I may have sorted it out. It seems that Deadline is creating and then deleting the render only text file. I don’t see a way to disable this function but I’d really like to. I have Enable Render Engine Mode set to False and thought that’d do the trick but I guess not.
There is a plugin configuration option to force After effects to run in Render Engine mode which creates the text file (by default this is disabled). There is also another option which tells the plugin to delete the render engine file after the renders are completed (again by default this is disabled). Both of these options create the text file though so if that does not exist in your documents folder then I am not sure what is going on.
Right - I have them both set to False, but it seems to still be creating them (at least on my local machine) - which seems to be the cause for AE only loading in render-only mode.
