After Effects Errors: Font missing and Error in output for render queue

Hello all,

Since we started to send AE jobs to render we have been getting all kinds of errors I haven’t seen before. Currently, we had some odd corrupt frames rendered out with the following AE message: After Effects Error: Reading from the file.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue with the “Error: FailRenderException : There were 1 or more errors with the output”

Can you share your error log? It’s hard to say without actually seeing the messages.

I don’t remember what solution I had for this but re-reading my error log I would:

Find the missing font and install it on the render nodes that are rendering this job.
Create the blank txt file named ae_render_only_node.txt under:
C:\Users[username]\Documents or C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe (if you are on windows)
On the nodes that are giving this error.

If that doesn’t do it I would:
Clear AE cache; check if the project is rendering locally with no issues; if the files are in a server - make sure the server is properly connected and everything is pointing to same path on local machine and nodes; all machines are in the same AE version…

Sorry, it’s not the missing font issue. Just the output error issue.

But it’s gone from weird to crazy weird. We just discovered that while we were outputting EXRs to the job server, one the tasks with the failed output, the workers were rendering random .avi files to completely different servers and directory paths!

Still trying to figuring exactly all the crazy happening.
